This is the 3rd course in the Personalized Medicine Certification sponsored by graduate affairs at the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. Advanced Endocrinology, Mitochondrial Health, and Toxic Mold Syndrome
This advanced, clinically intensive program — sponsored by the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida — is designed for Pharmacists, and all healthcare practitioners seeking to refine diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic strategy in complex endocrine disease. The curriculum builds upon the foundational principles established in the Personalized Medicine Certification and advances a systems-based, pathophysiology-driven framework for endocrine evaluation and management.
The program provides in-depth clinical analysis of complex thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Graves’ disease, and thyroid malignancy. Additional focus areas include breast cancer, mitochondrial dysfunction, environmentally mediated endocrine disruption, chemical sensitivities, toxic mold–associated illness, and the endocrine implications of toxic exposures. Special attention is given to difficult endocrine cases and hormonally mediated conditions such as PCOS, with emphasis on mechanistic drivers, advanced diagnostics, and individualized treatment strategies.
